Does Facebook Usage Contribute To Jealousy In Relationships?

Posted by sulman at 12:01 AM 0 comments

The more time college students spend on Facebook, the more likely they are to feel jealous toward their romantic partners, leading to more time on Facebook searching for additional information that will further fuel their jealousy, in an escalating cycle that may become addictive, according to a study reported in CyberPsychology & Behavior.

Amy Muise, MSc, Emily Christofides, MSc, and Serge Desmarais, PhD, from the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada), surveyed young adults involved in romantic relationships and found that those who spent time on social networking sites such as Facebook may be exposed to information about their partners that makes them jealous, leading them to spend more time involved in online surveillance and to uncover even more jealousy-provoking information.
"This research on university age individuals is an excellent starting point to begin asking additional questions on how this new forum might be impacting the dynamics of adult relationships and other social processes," says Professor Dr. Brenda K. Wiederhold, Editor-in-Chief of CyberPsychology & Behavior.

Really,Your baby doesnot fall asleep in arms

Posted by sulman at 11:59 PM 0 comments

You really can't expect your newborn baby to follow a schedule, but you can provide such enviornment for him to become a better sleeper at night. You can do this by keeping baby around other people. Talk to him, and play with him.
When it is time for bed, many parents want to breastfeed a baby to help him/her fall asleep. However, be sure that the baby does not fall asleep in your arms. When the baby briefly awakens during a sleep cycle, he/she may not be able to go back to sleep on his own. Most experts recommend allowing a baby to become sleepy in your arms, then placing him/her in the bed while still awake. This way the baby learns how to go to sleep on his own.

If you want your baby to be able to fall asleep without your help, it is essential that you sometimes let your newborn baby suck until he is sleepy, but not totally asleep. When you can, remove the breast, bottle, or pacifier from his mouth and let him finish falling asleep without something in his mouth. When you do this, your baby may resist and fuss to regain the nipple. It's perfectly okay to give him back the breast, bottle, or pacifier and start over a few minutes later. If you do this often enough, he will eventually learn how to fall asleep without sucking.

Playing soft music while your baby is getting sleepy is also a good way to help establish a bedtime routine.
